After voting took place earlier this month on the extensive class of projects shortlisted for the 2023 Architizer A+ Awards, the winners have been announced for the 119 categories, with a jury winner and a popular choice winner in each category. Sometimes the popular vote coincided with the jury vote, while in some cases the jury opted to single out some entries from beyond the shortlist for honourable mention. While our previous story includes all of the finalists from whom the jury and popular choice winners were chosen, the finalists — which you can still find here — have been removed from this article.
Running for the 11th consecutive year, the A+ Awards are organized by the New York-based architecture database, Architizer. The annual awards harness Achitizer’s broad reach to unite the global architecture community. The awards are highly specialized, allowing a wide range of projects to be celebrated every year.
After an impressive showing from Canada in the finalist stage, a total of 13 projects and firms have come out the other side with Jury Awards, Popular Choice Awards, or Special Mentions, plus one American firm has been recognized for a building in Toronto.
